WGBH Kids Attends The National Book Festival

Comments

WGBH had a very large presence at the 10th annual Library of Congress National Book Festival in DC on Saturday, September, 25, 2010. As part of the event, Martha Speaks author Susan Meddaugh was featured in the PBS KIDS Raising Readers tent, where she illustrated and told the story of the real Martha to kids and signed copies of the new Martha Speaks book Haunted House. Additionally, puppeteer Peter Linz was on hand to meet and greet children throughout the day as Between the Lions’ lovable character Theo. The event was a huge success with over 10,000 people visiting the PBS KIDS Raising Readers Pavilion.
