An Invitation to the Landmarks Orchestra

I have an invitation for you, and then something to brighten your day... 

First, I hope you'll join me for the Boston Landmarks Orchestra's winter concert,  "Love's Muse:"

Friday, Jan. 28, 8pm

Sanders Theatre in Cambridge

Rossini:  The Barber of Seville Overture
Chopin:  Piano Concerto No. 2
Mozart:  Symphony No. 36, "Linz"


I've always admired the philosophy of the Landmarks Orchestra, offering classical music in free concerts at locations that remind us of the gorgeous places and rich history all around us.  And while the founder of the orchestra, Charles Ansbacher, passed away last fall after courageously battling cancer, the orchestra continues that mission, just as he hoped it would.

The tickets are (as always!) free, and I'll look forward to the chance to say "hi" in person!

Now, to make your day just that much brighter, I have to share this You Tube video with you of 3-year old “Jonathan” who reminds us all that great music, even the vaulted Beethoven’s, should be experienced to one’s core, not just passively listened to and politely applauded. Grab a ruler or pen or wooden spoon and join him at the conductor’s stand. You’ll feel so good doing this (and I promise no one will laugh, even if you’re in your pj’s).
