I was disappointed with the Masterpiece version of Edwin Drood. It was too speeded up to develop characterespecially that of Jasperand cuts were made that impoverished the plot.. Theres a point at which a literature based drama should be scrapped rather than ravaging it as you did. How much was cut from the 2episode mini series shown by the BBC? Faye Walter

On Saturday evening, April 13th, there was a story on Japanese Americans disappearing from a town, and focused on how the residents quickly forgot their neighbors. The reading was compelling and I sat, entranced, for the entire story. Now I cannot find the name of the story, the author, or the reader. Can anyone help?

When will we see the new episodes of Doc Martin? I thought April 11th was suppose to be the start of the new season?

I cant believe what a wretched adaptation Ive just witnessed in Great Expectations. As if Madison Avenue hacks decided to "spruce up" Dickens. Characters invented, plots twisted, wholesale rewrites, etc. I could hardly bear the ripoff of Mrs Minever in the first season of Downton Abbey now they have Miss Haversham ripping off Marlon Brando? Did they think no one would notice? There is no point in tuning in Masterpiece for quality if its no better than the trash on the VHF channels.
