At the end of the tragic week of the Marathon Bombings in 2013, Brian O’Donovan struggled with what to play on A Celtic Sojourn. The exuberance of jigs and reels didn’t fit with the sadness and disorientation the region was feeling. Instead, he slowed the pace down and wove together a musical balm. As we mark the first anniversary of that most tragic time, we thought it appropriate to reprise that show here.
