Many words come to mind do describe the cancellation of Fetch with Ruff Ruffman, "Travesty", "Injustice", "Horrible nightmare from which the world may never awake". Being of somewhat elevated age, I have endured the cancellation of many quality shows over the years, but I can say with complete candor that I have never been compelled to add my voice to a chorus of disappointed fans until now. WGBH simply must reconsider this decision and this time make the right choice. This show must go on.

Good educational shows that covers the Fetch age range 499 is difficult to find, especially one that covers such a large variety of subjects science, history, math, engineering, not to mention all the creativity exercises!

Fetch! is my 4 year old daughters favorite show. We watch on Demand and have purchased at least one season on iTunes. She will be devastated to hear that there will be no new seasons of Fetch! Ive grown up watching PBS and even though Im 16 now I can say that Fetch is the best PBS show I have ever seen. Im not ashamed to say that I still watch it with my siblings. I want to tell you about my brother Jesse who is a Fetch fan. He has Down Syndrom and Autism so getting him to like a TV show can be tricky. It has to have action and sillyness in it and Fetch certainly has those elments, but it is also educational! Its hard enough for my brother to have to thrive in a world full of normal people, so its just really nice when something like Fetch comes along that he likes and will sit and watch. He cant fully understand why you are saying that you cant make more Fetch, so I incourage you to find a way to push through with funds. Cancell some other shows that have been aired much longer than Fetch, like Aurther or Cyber Chase. You could even cancell Wild Kratts or World Girl, but why cancell Fetch? Its still a relativly new show, and its one of the few that is REAL.Kids learn better when things are real and when they see other kids doing stuff that they can do themselves. So Im asking you if for no other reason then do it for my brother Jesse. If you dont make new seasons of Fetch, you are robbing him and others like him of clean, exciting, educational TV. Please reconsider stopping with season 5. It is in your power to let Ruff Ruffman live on! Thanks Please consider what I have said seriously and please pass this on the the creators of Fetch and the people who put it on the air. Thank you very much for letting Fetch live on!

Fetch is one of the best shows for children on television. My kidsnow ages 6, 6, and 9 have been watching it for 3 years and are heartbroken that its been canceled. I am too. I recognize that funding challenges are affecting all of your programming, but this is the wrong show to cut. Please reconsider! And thanks to WGBH for bringing great programs like Fetch into our homes.

I am not sure what has captured their interest in it, but I believe it is seeing other kids like themselves doing amazing things. Its a total confidence builder! Dear WGBH, I wanted to say I was sorry toi hear about the cancellation of Fetch! It is my 8yearold daughters favorite show. She watches it every day as well as on demand. We originally started watching it when we lived in Oregon, and when we moved to Massachusetts in 2009, my daughter was pleased to see us visiting places local to Boston that the Fetchers had also visited. She always said that when she was old enough she wanted to be a Fetcher on the show. Sadly it seems that the show was cancelled before her time. We will still watch it as long as it is broadcast and on demand. If there is anything we can do to support the show and help get it back on the air, please let us know!!!

PBS has the excellent combination of educational programs that are also fun. We actually rush home to make sure we dont miss an episode. I would contribute to a fund to bring it back on the air and I am sure that I am not alone in this sentiment.So please rethink the decision and consider the audience before the bottom line.Other shows have been resurrected so I know that it can be done if the powers that be fight for it.

Please try to find funding for more Fetch! It is the most educational show on television for upper elementary kids. The show is watched everyday as a family in our home and we transfer and use what we learn into everyday life. When someone asked my daughter recently "How did you get so smart?", her reply was "I watch Fetch! with Ruff Ruffman!" Please work to keep this show. It is so depressing to think something so valuable is gone!

I signed up just so I could comment. My family and I have been waiting and waiting for PBS to update with the last epi. When I went on a search as to WHY it had not been updated, ended up reading Wiki groan and the Winner was posted there. Ok No big deal, but what shocked me was the idea of it being canceled. I will admit I am 36 years old and I enjoy it. I LAUGH with my boys. As homeschoolers, many topics have been a jumping point to what they will learn.

Please keep Fetch on the air! My four kids have been huge fans for years, and it is a wonderful program for learning about science, investigation and resourcefulness. I would also contribute to saving the show. Certainly there are options to save the show if you reach out to the parent community. I urge you to reconsider. In this age of social media it would not be particularly complicated to mount a viewer campaign to raise funds.

We too are very disappointed that Fetch is being taken off the air. Why are all the good shows canceled? I have four kids and they all love Fetch! My 8 and 6 year old are always asking me how to get on the show. Just a very sad circumstance!! And about a month later when season 5 started, It was very cool to watch the fetchers do and go places we went. Like the Duck Boats. I love Chet. He is my favorite part of the show. Dear President Obama, With the large amounts of stimulus money being spent these days can you please find some money to save one of the most education shows on television for children? Fetch is a wonderful show that makes kids excited about leaning science. I can’t think of a better use of education funding that is guaranteed to provide positive results. How do we get Fetch back on the air? Why is it being canceled? What a shame that a quality, entertaining, educational program be swept under the rug. THe kids learn so much from the show, and aspire to be "fetchers" one day. I have seen some posts that indicate that this show has been canceled. Is that really true? My daughter LOVES this show and would be very upset if it is true. My son, who is 7, has been watching Fetch since season 2, and frankly, I think he learns more from FETCH than from school! I was disheartened to learn today that Season 6 has been canceled, despite the fact that casting auditions had already taken place its truly a wonderful show, and hope it comes back some day. My kids love Fetch! We are actually planning their Birthday Party for this coming weekend with a Fetch Theme... (There are no "Fetch" party products out available, but we are using our imagination). The show is fabulous and has really sparked thier increased interest in science. We sometimes attend the Fetch labs at the Schenectady Museum as well. As a homeschooling parent, I appreciate the resources available to coincide with the programs as well. Great job! (And yes, my son, turning 7 tomorrow, really would like you to lower the age, so he can try out!)
