For the record, Sheriffr Cabral never sent my brother Scotts widow, his property she has called Nashua Street Jail, phone records prove this nor has she ever sent the "so called" investigation report concerning Scotts death to his widow if ever done. Lastly, there are phone records proving a call was made from Nashue Street Jail to my mothers home phone after his death, and also from the contact person to Nashua Street Jail the day he arrived at the jail informing the jail of his mental state and suicidal tendencies. There is also a recorded conversation by Scotts widow to the Boston Police Department informing them of the potential suicide risk Scott posed, 3 days before he arrived at Nashua Street Jail. Also, when a person is brought to Nashua Street Jail, they are stripped searched, bend over, lift feet, search mouth so the documented cuts Boston Police arrest report on Scotts arm, and numerous scars from previous suicide attempts, would have been a clear indication to those trained professionals at Nashua Street Jail that something was amiss concerning Scotts mental state. Finally, Scotts arrest and detention should not have been a death sentence for my brother. The system failed him. What can be done so this type of preventable tragedy doesnt happen again? This is my question to you Sheriff Cabral.

The suicide of Philip Markoff has raised new questions about the way prisoners are monitored. Andrea Cabral joins Emily to talk about the Markoff case and the suicide of Scott Tosi who took his life at the Nashua Street Jail nearly one year ago.
