As usual the liberal thought is the emotional one that supports the pitiful state of the illegal. Long term effects however, as Ken Chase pointed out are a reality. Hispanics will now become the dependent class of people that liberals in government love. It keeps their liberal agenda going so they can control the people. I feel sorry for the young woman but her family was wrong to come here illegally. They should be sent back to country of origin and apply for American citizenship legally like millions of other people have done in the past. The cost to send them back wont be as much as the generations to come who will be dependent upon the government for their very existence.
The pursuit of the American Dream has been put on hold for some illegal immigrants as the Senate shelves the DREAM Act. The bill would put young illegal immigrants on a path to citizenship if they complete two years of college or serve two years in the military. Emily talks to Renata Teodoro, a student at UMass who is here illegally, Boston College Law Professor Daniel Kanstroom and former Republican senate candidate Ken Chase.
