Nice hatchet job. 10 minutes of talking heads bashing unions and only few sentences allowed by union members. You didn’t even give the union supporters the opportunity to even address the issues raised.
This is not journalism. When did WGBH decide to model itself on Fox news? I wonder if the fact that WGBH was recently charged with multiple illegal labor practices by its own unionized employees has anything to do this unfair and one sided union bashing?
In any event you won’t find me watching your crappy show ever again.

Emily commented on the public perception that public employee union members do not work as hard as their private sector counterparts. A topic that Greater Boston should examine is Gov. Patricks attempt to eliminate the Committee for Public Counsel Services. In that case, the Governor is looking to hire 1000 new lawyers, who will be on the public payroll and entitled to health/pension benefits. This move will eliminate 3000 private attorneys, 3000 small businesses that provide a constitutionally mandated service, cover their own overhead, pay for their own malpractice and health insurance, etc. Please examine this topic on your show.
Labor unions were once a force to be reckoned with. But new poll numbers says public opinion has turned against unions with most Americans believing they cause more problems than they solve. Emily is joined by Haverhill Mayor James Fiorentini and Northeastern University dean of public policy Barry Bluestone.
