This is excellent."local to local, then global" works. We are a school in CT. partnering with another CT. school, and then teaching English to a school in Kenya.

A digital arts project called Virtual Street Corners has been enabling live, real-time interactions between the very different neighborhoods of Brookline and Roxbury. For three weeks cameras, TV screens and microphones were setup outside Brookline Booksmith in Coolidge Corner and the Nubian Notion store in Dudley Square. The project allows people to talk to a random person from the other neighborhood.
