Two pit bull attacks in the last two weeks, including one on a 12-year-old boy over the weekend, have put the dangerous dogs back in the media spotlight. A Boston law designed to curb the much-maligned breed is being widely ignored by pit bull owners who refuse to muzzle their dogs in public or pay their fines when caught. Some politicians say it’s time to give the law more teeth, but animal advocates say the problem is people, not the pups.
