As a proud Buckeye living in exile in MA I was dismayed to hear Ms. Rooneys caustic throwaway line of "Ohio, Iowa, all those fourletter states are the same". With a remark like that I can only surmise that Ms. Rooney has visited neither certainly not OH. Cleveland alone boasts a medical center sought out by people from around the world Cleveland Clinic that has been #1 in U.S. News and World Report for ages. Plus an esteemed premier orchestra, outstanding museums including the newly expanded and FREE Cleveland Museum of Art and more variety in history, nature including the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and our own 100mile Emerald Necklace...well I could go on and on waxing poetic about the beauty, variety and value. So until you spend real time exploring a state as I have with MA at least your chowder is good do not disparage it. You just might incur the wrath of a native daughter.
On Monday, Massachusetts Rep. Barney Frank announced he would not seek re-election next year. After more than three decades in Congress, why did Frank decide his 16th term would be his last? Emily hears from WGBH political reporter Adam Reilly, Harvard Institute of Politics director Trey Greyson, and former state Senator Warren Tolman.
