Middlesex Sheriff James DiPaola committed suicide over the weekend. Before his death, DiPaola had been under intense media scrutiny for collecting both his sheriff’s salary and pension at the same time and was the subject of an ethics investigation. Emily is joined by state Senator Robert Hedlund, former state senator Warren Tolman and Tom Fiedler of Boston University.
