The James Beard and Emmy-nominated public television series Simply Ming returns for its twelfth season, premiering on Saturday, Oct. 4, on WGBH 2 and on Create TV in early 2015.

This season on Simply Ming, it’s all about comfort food. Comfort food can be what your grandmother cooked or just something that you love to cook at home. It’s everything from childhood classics to melting pot dishes from around the world; so this season we’ll be making delicious meal like gyoza from Japan, one pot chicken dinners, Hungarian stuffed cabbage, and the ultimate BLT sandwich.

Joining Ming in the kitchen are some of your favorite chefs including Kristen Kish, Marcus Samuelsson, Lydia Shire and the master himself, Jacques Pepin. What they bring to the table could be your new favorite comfort food. Then follow Ming down under as he discovers the indigenous flavors of Australia. All of this and more on this season of Simply Ming.

Ming Tsai is the host and executive producer of the public television series Simply Ming. An American restaurateur, television personality and celebrity chef of fusion cuisine, each week he puts his signature spin on a range of new and classic recipes.
