Legacy: Something of value, handed down from past generations to benefit the future
WGBH’s call letters stand for Great Blue Hill, the site of our first transmitter in Milton, Massachusetts, forever holding a special place in WGBH history. WGBH established the Great Blue Hill Society to honor those forward-looking individuals who ensure through their legacies that WGBH will have the resources to create public media for generations to come. All of us can leave a mark on the institutions we value. What will your legacy be?
You become a member of the Great Blue Hill Society automatically when you make a provision to WGBH in your estate plan through a bequest, charitable trust, gift annuity, or other gift arrangement that benefits WGBH in the future. In addition to achieving your philanthropic and financial goals, you’ll enjoy special benefits including:
- Personal invitation to events for WGBH’s most important friends, including screenings and live performances
- Borrowing privileges from our lending library
- Recognition in WGBH's annual report
